Lemon Law Text     What if the Lemon Law Does Not Apply?

What kind of vehicles are covered under state and federal laws?

The Indiana Lemon Law covers cars, trucks, and vans under 10,000 lbs.  It does not cover conversion vans, motor homes, farm tractors or other farm machines, road building equipment, trucks tractors, road tractors, motorcycles, mopeds, snowmobiles or vehicles designed primarily for off road use.

However, if a consumer has a vehicle not covered by the Indiana Lemon Law , we may still be able to help under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and other state and federal legislation.


What if the Indiana Lemon Law Does Not Apply?
If the defects with your vehicle do not meet the requirements of the Lemon Law, you may have claims under other state and federal laws that protect owners of new or used vehicles.

 

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act Law Summary
The Magnuson-Moss Warranty act is a Federal Law that protects the buyer of any product which costs more than $25 and comes with an express written warranty. This law applies to any product that you buy that does not perform as it should.  more
