Daniel Goldsmith Ruggiero

Daniel Goldsmith Ruggiero manages the Northeast offices of Consumer Legal Services, P.C., focusing his practice solely in the area of Consumer Protection law.  He has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including national coordination of cases, trial and appellate work. 

Mr. Ruggiero has represented a number of major U.S. corporations in actions brought in both federal and state courts.  The matters in which he has been involved have concerned a wide variety of subjects, including spinach e-coli outbreaks, benzene exposure, Vioxx, welding fumes exposure, construction, asbestos exposure, lead paint and many other types of claims. 

Prior to joining Consumer Legal Services, Mr. Ruggiero was an associate in the Products Liability and Toxic Tort Practice Group of a large national firm in New York and a boutique products liability firm in Boston.  While in law school, he clerked at the United States Attorney’s Office, District of Massachusetts, Civil Division, and a nationally recognized complex torts and products liability firm in Boston. 

Mr. Ruggiero received his Bachelor of Science from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, magna cum laude, and earned his Juris Doctor from New England School of Law in Boston.  He was president of the school’s Mock Trial/Moot Court Board, a competitor on the national trial team, as well as a member of the New England School of Law International Law Journal.  He is the recipient of a CALI Award of Excellent in New York Practice. 

Mr. Ruggiero is currently admitted to practice before the State courts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Maine.  Additionally, Mr. Ruggiero is admitted to practice in the Federal courts of the District of Massachusetts and the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York.
